This Privacy Policy describes how Survive don't Die ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects information when you use our web-based survival game available at survivedontdie.com.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only what is necessary to provide the game and improve your experience:
- Account data — email address and username when you register.
- Game progress — saved game states, achievements, and leaderboard scores.
- Technical data — browser type, device type, and session timestamps for debugging and performance monitoring.
- Usage data — anonymous gameplay telemetry (events, ticks, session length) to improve game balance.
We do not collect payment information, sensitive personal data, or use advertising trackers.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate you and persist your game progress across devices.
- To display global leaderboards (only your username is public; email is never shown).
- To diagnose errors and improve performance.
- To send you optional service notifications (you may opt out at any time).
3. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored in a hosted database (Supabase) protected by row-level security policies, encrypted at rest and in transit via TLS. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties.
4. Cookies & Local Storage
We use browser local storage and session cookies solely for authentication tokens and game-state persistence. No cross-site tracking cookies are used.
5. Third-Party Services
The game uses the following third-party services:
- Supabase — database and authentication (Supabase Privacy Policy).
- Vercel / hosting provider — web hosting and edge CDN.
- Google Fonts — font delivery (no tracking in our implementation).
6. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at contact@survivedontdie.com. Account deletion removes all personal data within 30 days.
7. Children
The game is intended for users 13 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via a notice in the game or by email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
